Faces Ultra Moist Lipstick in Fire Truck Review + Swatches

Hey BFFs,

Finally the rainy season have been started in my city & trust me this is the best season to eat out pakoras & gulping down the coffee by just looking at the rains & enjoying the evening with cozy blanket around.

So today I am going to review my first red lipstick with you.

“Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.”

Gwyneth Paltrow

Everyone have their kind of red lipstick with them someone likes blue based red & some likes warm red. Actually the story behind this lipstick is quite funny. I already had made my mind to purchase the newly launched Maybelline color show lipstick in red my lip shade. However unfortunately that was not in stock at shoppers stop in my city so I moved to faces outlet to check out if they had something in red to match my taste & suit my skin tone. I had tried two to three shades of red from different texture & collections from Faces Canada brand & finally zeroed down onto this shade called Faces Ultra Moist Lipstick in Fire Truck.

Product Description:

Sport kissable glamorous lips with a little extra care! Sealed with extra smooth texture and extremely moist formula with the goodness of shea butter and almond extracts, Faces Ultra Moist is surely the preferred choice for every fashionista

Prices: 549 INR approx. for 4.5gm

My Experience with Faces Ultra Moist Lipstick in Fire Truck :

The Faces Ultra Moist Lipstick in Fire Truck comes in the card box packaging of shining dark grey color & after opening that the bullet will come with same color & shiny finish.  The packaging is classy with the silver band in between & faces engraved over the band. The color shade name is printed on the paper of the lipstick shade color & affixed at the bottom of the bullet. The texture of the lipstick is so soft. The finishing of this lipstick is shiny. The lipstick is so much pigmented that only one swipe is enough to give full color of the red lipstick. You have to use lip liner to avoid the bleeding of lipstick. If you have dry lips then it will settle down to the cracks of your lips. It is fully transferable so watch out before sipping anything if it is on you to avoid staining the glasses & other things (ahem ahem…).

It loses its shine after 2 hours but the color intensity will remain intact. It can easily survive the little munching. So the staying power is good of 5-6 hours after which it will leave behind red tint which needs a makeup remover to completely wipe off. We can easily touch up in between the heavy meals as the bullet packaging is travel friendly & sturdy so there is no problem in carrying the same in the purse with us.

The finish of the product is shiny & creamy if you want the matte finish then you can bloat it with tissue paper & apply it again to get a bit of matte finish with longer staying capacity.

You can see from the below swatches how the color looks different in different lights

Pros:

  • Quality product.
  • No weird smell or fragrance
  • Longer shelf life of 36 months from manufacturing date
  • Pigmentation
  • Soft formula hence no tugging
  • A gorgeous unique shade

Cons:

  • Settles in cracks of lips hence not suitable for dry lips
  • It can bleed so lip liner is must.
  • Easily transferable

BFF Rating: 4/5

Final Verdict: I love this red color which is not very loud. You can use it as a stain also for the light coverage. According to me this is best muted red color to start with this journey of red lips… Go & try this on the Faces Canada outlet to know whether it suits your skin tone or not.

  2. I haven't really tried the lipsticks from Faces. The review sounds good and I think it looks good, packaging wise. Is it like super moist because it does look like a tinted lip-balm. Or maybe it's the just the pictures. :)

    1. Yes it is super moist but very opaque. If you do not want shine then you can always bloat it with tissue.
